Making progress on car shopping. So far the two cars my mother has really liked are specifically this 2014 Acura RLX:

$33,750 with 19,300 miles. We looked at it on Monday and said on Saturday we would have a decision after meeting with our Credit Union.
The second vehicle is this 2013 Lexus RX350:
!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!
$31,998 with 30k miles. It’s at Carmax and we test drove it a couple weekends back.
She very much liked both vehicles while I liked them but I’m not 100% sold on the value aspect on either cars, even including reliability and ease of ownership. I also think the RLX may be too long of a vehicle.
I’ve heard several great recommendations, but I’m still trying to focus in. If you have a third car you want to recommend ( !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! ) please feel free!
Thoughts on these two vehicles are also encouraged.

I’m really trying to push for it. Something rare on the road and I called that color “Midnight Merlot” to entice her to it. Worked! I don’t think I can get the price where I want it though. Plus we would need to take it to her house (not too far away) and make sure it fits in the garage. That will likely be the deal breaker more than anything else.

Sounds like car shopping for my wife. First pick out pretty colors and then see what cars are wearing them.

My thoughts exactly (except the Mazda...)
Problem is the Lincolns are too new to find
in my area
at a reasonable price. The Volvos would be great but since only one or two go used at a time within 200 miles of the city, the end up rare and prices are always a bit rough too.
I need to live in a more interesting place like Denver or Phoenix. Car shopping is far too difficult out here.
